The $338 Million PBeer Run Powerball Jackpot Winner Reportedly Owes Child Support Payments Of $29,000, Which Shouldn't Be A Problem For The New Millionaire, But An Arrest May Be Near

The man who went on the beer run and snagged the $338 million ticket in New Jersey Saturday reportedly owes $29,000 in overdue child support.

Pedro Quezda, 44, is the father of five, ranging from the ages from 5-23. The divorced father reportedly owes child support payments that dates back to 2009, The Passaic County, New Jersey sheriff's office told Reuters Thursday.

"Like everyone else, until this warrant is satisfied, Mr. Quezada is subject to potential arrest," Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said in a statement.

Reuters reported that the department was attempting to notify Quezda about the support payment. In the statement, Berdnik said that generally the state's lottery division would pay the judgment out of the winnings.

The apple and deli bodega owner decided to close up shop as a "for sale" sign hangs on the door.

If you win the Powerball, you have the option of one lump sum, which takes out less taxes or the option of it being paid over the next 30 years. Lottery said Quezda decided to take the lump sum, which comes out to $211 million after taxes. This marks the third-largest lump sum payment in Powerball history.

The lottery will take out a total of 28 percent in federal and state taxes, which leaves Quezda with about $152 million.

"For the last three years, he [Quezda] would come here every day between 7:30 and 8 p.m. to buy Lotto tickets and two or three bottles of [Corona] beer," said Felix Ramirez, an employee at Eagle Liquors, where Quezad bought the beers and winning Powerball ticket Saturday.

Beer and lotto was a tradition for the store owner and one time, which was all he needed, it paid off, literally.

"I can't believe it. I'm overwhelmed. I just can't get over it. I was praying so much for this. I'm just giving thanks to God," Quezad told the New York Post Tuesday.
