Adele Weight Jab: Joan Rivers Says “Let’s Face Reality: She’s Fat!” Of The Grammy-Winning Singer [VIDEO]

Joan Rivers made another Adele weight jab, and she told David Letterman that she has no plans on easing up on the Grammy-winning singer.

Joan Rivers cruelly mocked Adele about her weight on her February 26 appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman.

In the segment, 79-year-old Rivers said she met 24-year-old Adele at the Academy Awards. She then gestured with her arms to indicate the singer's weight.

"She was very scared because she was singing at the awards. She kept saying, 'My throat, my throat - I don't know if I can swallow,'" Joan Rivers said about Adele. Rivers then added, "And I said, 'Oh yeah! You can swallow."

On March 29, Rivers was confronted about her Late Show comments in a HuffPost Live interview. But instead of explaining or recanting her remarks about Adele, she continued to criticize the singer's appearance.

"It's not mean. She's a chubby lady who's very, very rich, and she should just calm down - or lose weight! She wanted an apology, so I took an ad out on her a--. I said, 'You are not fat.' And then I had room for a lot of other ads," Rivers said. "Adele is beautiful and successful and has what, $100 million? Let's face reality: she's fat!"

This is just the latest in Rivers' seemingly endless comments about celebrities' weight. In an infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey in 1985, Rivers, the host of Fashion Police, criticized Winfrey for gaining 50 pounds. "You shouldn't let that happen to you. You're a pretty girl and you're single. You must lose the weight!" Rivers told Oprah Winfrey.

Rivers also criticized Christina Aguilera after the singer forgot the lyrics to the National Anthem during 2011's Super Bowl. She said, "She looked like a pig. How stupid can you get? Christina must have been thinking about food. That's why she forgot the words."

Christina Aguilera fought back and confronted Rivers, but even after that, Rivers made fun of Aguilera's figure. She said, "I'm a Spago's with [my daughter] Melissa, and we're eating dinner. And Fatso is across the way, and she comes lumbering over with that no-neck look. And I go, 'Here it comes.' She comes over to my table and says, 'You gonna finish that?'"

Joan Rivers has made a career out of criticizing actors and actresses about their appearance, and the Fashion Police host has upset a lot of people with her weight-related comments. Until the 79-year-old retires, it's unlikely that Rivers' criticism of Adele's weight will be her last.
