Lamar Odom, Khole Kardashian Charity Scam? Cathy's Kids Report Raises Possibility Due to Lack of Donations of Cancer Research

Lamar Odom and Khole Kardashian charity scam have aroused as Cathy's Kids haven't donated any to cancer research over its eight-year existence.

The charity founded by basketball star Lamar Odom in 2004 to support cancer research. Instead the funds raised have been directed toward youth basketball programs, according to ESPN.

According to report, Cathy's Kids has raised about $2.2 million since it was founded and tax documents reveal the majority of that went to fund youth basketball teams, at least $1.3 million.

The large sum of money reportedly went to pay Jerry DeGregorio, a friend of Odom's who was his high school basketball coach and secretary of the charity, an annual salary of $72,000 from 2004 to 2011.

The charity's missions states, "[Cathy's Kids] was developed as a means for Lamar to streamline all his charitable efforts and focus on making a positive impact on the lives of under-privileged children, as well as targeting a disease that has played a significant role in his life, cancer.

"Lamar lost his mother to stomach cancer and subsequently is committed to help causes that are focused on finding a cure and helping people who suffer from the disease. Lamar is focused on ensuring that funds are available for under-privileged youth that live in the inner cities of New York and Los Angeles," the charity says.

Neither have addressed or responded to the reports, Odom has bounced around the NBA a bit for the past few years, as he was traded from LA Lakers to the Dallas Mavericks. Now the pair is currently back in Los Angeles, as Odom moved to the Los Angeles Clippers.
