The RG3 Twitter rant that caught the headlines is gaining steam, and unlike Amanda Bynes who seems to be monopolizing sensational news for her use of the information network, the NFL star quarterback is earning attention for his authentic expressions.

Robert Griffin III, as a true Baylor alum, is still overflowing with school spirit and loyalty. The Washington Redskins quarterback was not happy on Sunday night after the Baylor Lady Bears were surprisingly defeated by Louisville in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA’s Women’s Basketball Tournament.

Griffin, who is currently recovering from knee surgery, vented about the stunning and disappointing 82-81 loss of his school’s women's basketball team on Twitter. He was particularly upset by what he believed to be an overly physical play on the Cardinals part.

He tweeted “Whew…ok I took my time to calm down and not go off on twitter about the Baylor Girls Basketball game…BUT I CAN’T DO IT.” He followed it with, “People poke and make fun of B. Griner all the time but C’MON MAN…Them girls were LITERALLY throwing elbows, slaps, weave…”

At 2:05 a.m. Monday, he was barely finished, when he continued to rant, “Not to mention that lil lady who was mean-mugging B. Griner’s BELLY BUTTON after she made the nice layup…BACK UP CHILD’S PLAY.

He continued, “No hate on this end people Louisville won & I will live to play another game #Props but that doesn’t mean I have to like how it went down.” He further expressed support to his school’s team, tweeting, “Oh…& anyone offending B. Griner, Coach Mulkey’s Family or anyone else involved with the team needs to back-back back-back give Em 50 ft.”

Moving onto almost half-the-hour, he shares “Yes people Louisville hit the 3 ball all right. But for every 3 they made, they threw 6 elbows, 5 straight lefts, 4 right hooks…” And continuing in another tweet, “….3 roundhouse kicks, 2 jumping knees, & 1 superman punch at B. Griner’s abdominals. Aiming for her face but couldn’t reach.”

“Oh..and yes I’m mad about women’s basketball cuz I PUT ON for my SCHOOL!!! And there is a difference in being physical and fighting.” Almost concluding his thoughts, he shares “Despite all the man jokes BG is not SHAQ! She’s a 6’8” WOMAN! & the REFS! OH MY…NCAA may find a way to fine me if I bring them up.”

Finally, at 2:55 a.m., RG3 concludes his tweets, ending his rant and garnering everyone’s attention. “I would rather have the guts to stand up for them, then to have that respect for sitting down and saying nothing.”
