Holly Sonders is the next month's cover girl of Gold Digest issue, to share fitness and diet tips to get in the best golfing shape.

Sonders, 26, recognized as "one of golf's most recognizable television personalities," by Gold Digest is to appear in the magazine's annual Get Fit issue. She shared that she was chosen as the cover girl for May's issue back in February calling it an "incredible honor," she wrote in a blog for "The Golf Channel."

"I figure I had weeks to hit the gym before the shoot. Nope. Three days later I was in New York," she recalled.

The May issue includes tips from Sonders, Rickie Fowler, Mark Wahlberg and Jason Dufner.

"No jewelry and athletic - I find that to be sexy for women," Sonders said.

"Who better to be on the cover of our May 'Get Fit' issue than Golf Channel's super-fit Holly Sonders?" the magazine wrote on its Facebook page on Monday.

The magazine shared a slideshow of 12 photos of Sonders for the issue on its website, ahead of its release on newsstands Tuesday.

Sonders got her big break appearing on The Golf Channel's "Morning Drive" and "School of Golf" before that she worked for the Big Ten Network and along with a stint at KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The brunette host, whose real name is Holly Niederkohr responded to controversial claims of being objectified on the network, wearing short skirts and heels, while the rest of the hosts sand behind a desk. Sonders said the decisions have been very misunderstood.

"Some people would comment, 'You're objectifying her.' There was just no other place to put me, honestly," she wrote. "The cameras were in the wall. I dress the way I dress because style is very important to me. I love being a girl. You can be a pit-bull competitor. You can want to kick people's asses in every sport, but you can still be feminine and still be sexy."
