Flavor Flav's Fiancée Liz Trujillo Hospitalized During VH1's 'Couples Therapy,' For Exhaustion Not Overdose [VIDEO]

Flavor Flav's fiancée Liz Trujillo was hospitalized while shooting an episode of VH1's "Couple Therapy" on Monday.

Initial reports from TMZ stated the 39-year-old overdosed on painkillers, which was also confirmed by E! News by a VH1 rep saying Trujillo that a "suspected overdose" was accidental and was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The hip-hop artist's publicist denied such reports, insisting she was instead hospitalized for exhaustion. After few hours TMZ updated their story accordingly.

"The claim of an overdose, or any involvement of drugs, could not be further from the truth," Flav's representative told TMZ.

"She was rightfully exhausted. The producers preyed upon the opportunity to make drama and created April foolery of their own," the source says.

"Couples Therapy" is the latest VH1 reality series for Flavor Flav before he appeared in "The Surreal Life," which led to a relationship with actress Brigitte Nielsen. Then on "Strange Love" was about the spin-off of the couple's relationship. After Nielsen left him to go back to her fiancé, he got his own show, "Flavor of Love" about his search for romance. Although Trujillo wasn't a contestant on the show, the couple was engaged in 2008.
