Clark Gable Son Arrested After Crashing Into Six Parked Cars, Hit-And-Run; D.U.I. Suspected

Clark Gable's son was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving on Tuesday, April 2.

Officers arrested the son of the legendary screen icon after Gable's son crashed into six parked cars while he was driving in Malibu, California.

John Clark Gable was driving a white Ford pickup truck near the Malibu pier when he crashed, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Fortunately, no one was injured. Gable was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, and hit-and-run.

A Malibu/Lost Hills Station watch sergeant told E! News, "At 2:54 p.m., we received a call of a possible hit-and-run in the city of Malibu." Gable's car allegedly rear-ended another car on Pacific Coast Highway and fled the scene. Several tips claimed Gable's vehicle was traveling at high speeds.

Officers conducted a field sobriety test on Gable, and then he was arrested.

Witness Geno Bahena told KTLA-TV, "It took him a few seconds to get out of his truck. And finally, when he got out of his truck - I guess he was in shock or something - he just fell on the floor."

He is being jailed on a $15,000 bond and was released late on Tuesday.

Gable allegedly told TMZ that he was "absolutely not drinking," but that he lost consciousness for an unknown reason.

This isn't the first time the Gable family has had a run-in with the law. In 2011, Clark Gable's grandson was accused of pointing a laser inside the cockpit of a L.A, police helicopter. The event endangered the pilot, who was flying over Hollywood.

Police arrested the 22-year-old grandson, Clark James Gable, and charged him with a felony. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail, according to KTLA-TV. At the time, his manager said it was an accident.

Roxane Davis, the manager, told CNN, "Boys will be boys, and he was playing with what he thought was a toy and not a felony piece. From what he told me from jail, he had it out the window, and he was shining it out the window, and the next thing he knew was that he had a spotlight on him."

Clark Gable, the famous actor, was once called the 'King of the Hollywood.' He is best known for his role of Rhett Butler in 1939's "Gone With The Wind." He passed away in 1960. John Clark Gable was born four months after his father's death.
