Miley Cyrus Duets With Snoop Lion, A.K.A. Snoop Dogg, On Rapper’s First Single Off ‘Reincarnated’ Album, “Ashtrays And Heartbreaks”

Miley Cyrus guest starred on Snoop Dogg's, a.k.a. Snoop Lion's, new single called "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks."

The new Snoop Lion song featuring Miley Cyrus was produced by Major Lazor and Ariel Rechtshaid.

On "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks," Snoop mixes his Rasta style with Cyrus's pop sound, but she isn't the Disney girl-next-door she used to be, getting into the beats and singing "fill up all those ashtrays."

Legendary drummer from the Police Stewart Copeland provided the island-themed percussion on the single.

Major Lazer's Diplo told MTV News of Snoop's release, "[Snoop] was really studying Bob Marley. He likes to have the female backing vocals, and it's a real Marley-esque vibe. We [also] have some West Coast attitude with the production, and I'm really excited about it. It sounds amazing."

Miley Cyrus had told Ryan Seacrest in an interview in March, "I did a song with Snoop, and it's coming out very, very soon. I can finally say I'm going to have a song with Snoop Dogg coming very soon. It's recorded, done. I'm so excited!"

This single is considered a teaser of the type of music Cyrus will release on her upcoming album, which will also include her own song with Snoop Lion.

Cyrus has consistently tweeted about her new music, hinting at collaborations with hit artists, including producer Pharrell.

"I want this record to be different and a bunch of passion projects. I've been able to do these things where I've just been in the studio at the right time and these projects have just magically come," Cyrus explained.

Snoop's full album Reincarnated is due out on April 23, but Cyrus hasn't yet announced a release date for her next album.
