Reese Witherspoon Shows Off New Brunette Hair For Role In ‘The Good Lie’ After Mexico Birthday Vacation

Reese Witherspoon has gone brunette. Actress Witherspoon has traded in her signature blonde locks for a deep brown shade, like the color she wore during her Oscar-winning performance as June Carter Cash in Walk The Line.

Reese Witherspoon's new brunette hair is allegedly for her upcoming film The Good Lie, which is about how she befriends a refugee of the Sudanese Civil War. Witherspoon, her longtime hair stylist Lona Vigi and the movie's director Philippe Falardeau decided on the new color to bring more depth to Witherspoon's character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Avon Global Hair Color Expert Lorri Goddard helped to make the change, transforming the blonde to a brunette by creating a color that "naturally enhances Reese's features."

Goddard layered low-lights and an all over light brown shade to create depth and texture in the cocoa shade.

She first started working with Witherspoon after Goddard helped bring the actress's hair back to blonde after Walk The Line filming finished.

Fans seem to like Witherspoon's new look. 'Caitlin' commented on E! News, "I think she looks great with both blonde and brunette hair! I loved when she dyed it brunette for her role as June Carter Cash in 'Walk the Line,'" and 'Sherrie' wrote, "I actually love her as a brunette! I think it looks fantastic."

Reese's new hair color was revealed when she went out with her husband Jim Toth and their 6-month-old son Tennessee after returning from her birthday vacation in Mexico.

In Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Reese Witherspoon and her husband enjoyed a kids-free vacation. They stayed on the beach in a suite that had a private pool, according to a E! News source.

Reese Witherspoon, aside from her role in Walk The Line, is best known from playing Elle Woods in the hit "Legally Blonde.
