Zendaya Barbie Doll Released; Giuliana Rancic Feud Worked To The Teen Star’s Advantage?

A Zendaya Coleman Barbie doll has been released, according to a report from ABC News. The teen star's new toy makes it seem like she was able to work to her advantage her one-time feud with Giuliana Rancic.

The "Shake It Up" star was honored with the Zendaya Barbie Doll that featured her controversial Oscars 2015 dreadlocked look. Even her Vivienne Westwood gown was copied for the doll.

The new product was unveiled at the Barbie Rock 'N Royals Concert Experience on Saturday held at the Hollywood Palladium in California.

The 19-year-old posted an Instagram photo of herself alongside her lookalike toy.

"When I was little I couldn't find a Barbie that looked like me, my...how times have changed," she captioned the shot.

"Thank you Barbie for this honor and for allowing me to be apart of your diversification and expansion of the definition of beauty."

The official Instagram account of Barbie also posted about the Zendaya Doll on their page.

"We are so excited to honor Zendaya with this one-of-a-kind doll as she encourages girls to Raise Their Voices and inspires us to #BeSuper," the statement read.

Aside from her fans, Zendaya was congratulated for her Barbie Doll by "Anaconda" rapper Nicki Minaj. The hip-hop artist also has a Barbie Doll of herself made by Mattel.

"I love your doll's hair," Nicki Minaj said. "I love what it means for other little girls who will identify with it & be empowered."

Now that the teen star's Oscars 2015 look has been used for the Zendaya Barbie Doll, the singer-actress seems to have worked to her advantage the criticisms thrown her way by "Fashion Police" host Giuliana Rancic.

Hollywood Reporter reported about how the E! mainstay made fun of Zendaya Coleman for wearing dreadlocks at the Academy Awards, joking that she "must have smelled like patchouli oil or weed."

Giulana Rancic eventually apologized after fans called out her alleged "racist" remarks. The controversy eventually led to the departures of former hosts Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin, which put the hit fashion critique show on a six-month hiatus.

Us Weekly reported about how Zendaya Coleman spoke up just before the show went back on air.

"I just hope they learn and grow from (the controversy) and are able to make a positive change with their show," she said.

"Hopefully [they're] able to take a more positive spin and we're all able to learn from it at the same time."
