Justin Long is reportedly really devastated over the split with Amanda Seyfried after being together for two years.

The insider told Us Weekly, "It happened a few weeks ago. He's really heartbroken."

The "Ted 2" star and the "Tusk" actor were introduced to each other in 2013 by their common friends. But it wasn't until Amanda Seyfried read an Instagram post by Justin Long when she made the first move.

"I followed him on Instagram," she told Vogue. "And I thought something he said was really funny. It was a beautiful picture of a snail, and the caption said, "F****ng MOOOOOOOOVE." It made me laugh out loud, so I texted him."

Amanda Seyfried added, "I really do have my own identity, both inside and outside the relationship, if that makes any sense. It just feels right. It's also really good to feel OK being alone."

"Justin likes being at home with his parents. And I like that about him," she added. "I was in Allentown last weekend and didn't want to come back."

During the same interview, Amanda Seyfried-who, like boyfriend Justin Long, is very close to her family-also revealed that she wants to have kids someday and buy a house in Stone Ridge, NY where they will be raised.

It's not clear what will happen to the $1.9 million New York apartment after Justin Long and Amanda Seyfried's split.

But E! News said that Justin Long was never the first love of Amanda Seyfried and following the split, she's now back to the arms of Finn.

"That coveted top spot belongs to Finn, the handsome rescue dog the actress adopted back in 2009," it said. "And while Justin made a great third wheel, Amanda relationship with Finn has obviously been her main focus from the get-go."

Amanday Seyfried and ex-boyfriend Justin Long have yet to issue an official statement regarding the split.
