Selena Gomez To Hit MTV Movie Awards 2013 Stage With Single ‘Come And Get It’; Says “I Hope We Can Put On A Good Show” [PHOTO]

Selena Gomez talked to MTV News about her upcoming performance of "Come And Get It" on the red carpet of the MTV Movie Awards 2013. Gomez said, "I'm nervous. I really am...I hope we can put on a show."

Selena Gomez told MTV during the show rehearsal the day before, "This is the first time I'll be performing 'Come & Get It.' I'm really, really nervous."

"The whole record kind of has a world feel to it in a way," she explained. "It's very European and has a lot of island-y sounds. It's got a cool vibe to it, so we're applying it to the performance and even the tour and for future things we want to do and for this kickoff performance," she continued.

But, Gomez seems to be excited to be changing her image from the cute Disney girl to the more edgy "Spring Breakers"-esque rebel.

"I'm excited though. I wanted to make the performance something that'd be a game-changer for me, personally, because I wanted to out-do everything else I've done as an artist. I love dancing. I love the feel of the song and the tribal feel, so I wanted to incorporate that, so I just wanted a fresh take on what, you know, the new chapter is for me. So I'm excited."

Earlier in the night, Gomez tweeted about her upcoming stage, "MTV Movie Awards tonight I am so excited and nervous for the performance tonight. #comeandgetit #movieawards"

Selena Gomez's performance will be introduced by Kim Kardashian. The 2013 MTV Movie Awards is hosted by Rebel Wilson and airs on MTV at 9pm EST.
