Catching Fire Trailer Released After MTV Movie Awards [VIDEO]

After all the fun and excitement of the MTV Movie awards fans of the "Hunger Games" movie and book trilogy got a sneak peek of the "Catching Fire" movie trailer.

"Catching Fire" is the second installment of the "Hunger Games" series. The film will bring back Jennifer Lawrence as main character, Katniss Everdeen. "Catching Fire" will also see the return of Josh Hutchinson as Peta Malark, Woody Harrelson as Haymitch and Liam Hemsworth as Gale.

The trailer opens up with Katniss and Peta being announced as the victors of the 74th Annual Hunger Games to the residents of District 11. This is the same district that Rue, Katniss' young ally came from.

Just like in the book "Catching Fire," in the trailer we see an old man hold up his hand giving Katniss the symbol of her district. The same symbol she made to the cameras after Rue was killed.

The old man is beaten and then shot and Katniss begs Haymitch to "Please, just help me get through this trip." As the victors of the 74th Annual Hunger Games Katniss and Peta must take a trip to each district as part of a victory tour.

"This trip doesn't end when you get back home...from now on your job is to be a distraction so people forget what the real problems are," Haymitch says.

During the "Catching Fire" trailer we see President Snow (Donald Sutherland) plotting to have Katniss killed. Snow does not like that Katniss has become a beacon of hope for the people and wants to have her "eliminated."

"Her entire species must be eradicated...the other victors, because of her they all pose a threat. Because of her they all think they're invincible," President Snow says.

The "Hunger Games" sequel, "Catching Fire" looks to be filled with a lot of action and emotion. Katniss has to once again risk her own life in order to protect the people she loves most.

"Catching Fire" opens worldwide on November 22, 2013.
