Highest rated KBS drama on Mondays and Tuesdays is about to end with only two episodes left. Viewers are left wondering if KBS has any plans for an extension.

As KBS has been fighting for ratings in their night drama it would make perfect sense to extend the drama for another few weeks. However KBS made it clear it would not add more episodes to “Brain.”

The reason being is because of the highly anticipated “Drama High 2” that is scheduled to premiere on January 30. If “Brain” ends as scheduled on January 17 then it will be perfect time to air special programs the following week, greeting the Lunar New Year holiday. However if “Brain” is extended then “Dream High 2” will have to postpone its airing.

With a high teen drama such as “Dream High” geared towards the teen viewers needs to take advantage of the upcoming winter vacation, which will allow the view ratings to increase. KBS confirmed once again stating, “Brain did not consider any tope of special extension. Because of many factors, including the next drama series, we’ve decided to end the drama after 20 episodes.”
