Scheduling Conflict Causes CL To Miss Halloween Performance At Chicago's Freaky Deaky Fest

Chicago K-pop fans were in for a disappointment this weekend.

2NE1's CL was set to perform at the Halloween-focused Freaky Deaky Fest in the Chicago area on Oct. 31, but the rapper was unable to attend the show last minute. The singer was seen at an event in South Korea last week shortly before the cancellation was announced.

"CL will not be able to perform due to a scheduling conflict," read a statement on Freaky Deaky Fest's official Facebook page on Oct. 29 ahead of her Halloween performance.

Several other line-up changes were also cancelled or altered by the Freaky Deaky Fest ahead of their performances.

CL was recently spending time in North America working on her U.S debut English-language album, but was seen in South Korea last week at a W Korea event.

Last Tuesday, CL attended W Korea's Breast Cancer Charity event with Dara, another 2NE1 member.

In August, CL announced her appearance at the Freaky Deaky Fest through her official Facebook page. Nothing was shared on CL's social media accounts regarding the cancellation of her Freaky Deaky Fest appearance.

The three day festival featured a variety of artists, and was held in Bridgeview, Illinois on Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
