American Clothing Brand GAP Signs Krystal Jung For Chinese Ad Campaign

It looks like f(x) will be wearing more blue jeans in the future.

Krystal of f(x) (Chrystal Soo Jung) recently signed on with Gap, the American apparel company, to promote their brand in China. She joins several other Asian artists in the Chinese "Let's Gap Together" campaign.

The f(x) member will appear with Singaporean singer JJ Lin in the ads.

Other Asian stars, including the Taiwanese actor Chang Chen and Chinese actress Bai Baihe, also signed onto the Gap campaign.

The ad campaign will launch on Sunday in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

Photos on Gap China's official site and behind the scenes videos from the ad shoot featured Krystal wearing a leather jacket along with a white t-shirt and jeans to celebrate Gap's fifth year in China.

The K-pop idol appeared in the Korean drama, "My Lovely Girl," which was widely popular in China, and was one of the most expensive Korean dramas ever to be sold in China.

f(x) has seen varying degrees of popularity in China without any formal promotion. In 2014, the group won the Overseas Outstanding Stage Performance Award at the Top Chinese Music Awards.

Krystal is currently promoting f(x)'s fourth album, "4 Walls," in South Korea. The album's title song topped numerous music charts around the world, and is f(x)'s first comeback this year.
