Seohyun To Star Opposite EXO's Chanyeol In Chinese Film 'So I Married An Anti-Fan'

The youngest member of Girls' Generation will make her big screen debut in China alongside an EXO member.

Seohyun of Girls' Generation (Seo Joo Hyun) will star opposite EXO's Chanyeol in the Chinese film, "So I Married an Anti-Fan." The film, based on a novel, is about a celebrity who falls in love with a reporter.

"So I Married an Anti-Fan" will be Seohyun's first film role. She will reportedly play the second lead alongside Chanyeol and Chinese actress Yuan Shanshan.

The Girls' Generation member has previously appeared in multiple musicals, and appeared in the 2013 drama, "Passionate Love." She also has experience as a voice actor, and voiced the role of "Edith" in the Korean version of "Despicable Me" and "Despicable Me 2."

In October, it was revealed that Chanyeol would take a lead role in the Chinese film.

The Chinese film "So I Married an Anti-Fan" is based on a webtoon by the artist known as Jiwan. The story is about a female reporter who marries a male celebrity after previously hating him and becoming an anti-fan, the polar opposite of a fan.

Filming began in China this week.
