Jung Jinwoon Idolizes Queen's Freddie Mercury In The Celebrity

Halloween may be over but The Celebrity is just getting started on the fun! The magazine had a special "celebrity idols" themed November issue in order to appreciate those who inspired the current top stars.

For his pictorial, former 2AM member and actor Jung Jinwoon became Freddie Mercury from the British rock band Queen. The photo set was called "I Will Be A Legend" after the rockstar's famous quote, "I will not be a rockstar. I will be a legend." Jung donned a fake mustache, sailor hat, and checkered suit before posing dramatically with a microphone stand.

During the interview, Jung revealed how he first learned about the band. He stated, "My mother had a lot of Queen music because she was an aerobics instructor, so I was familiar with the Queen sound from a young age. Initially, I liked the sounds of the drums and guitar, which were Brian May and Roger Taylor, but one day I started to fall for Freddie."

Jung is also a huge fan of his singing technique. He continued, "Freddie Mercury changed so much. He tried a lot of different vocal styles. He changed rock n' roll and influenced bands like Coldplay and Muse."

To read the rest of the interview, remember to pick up the latest issue of The Celebrity!
