Minho from SHINee that is casted in the new SBS sitcom ‘Master Doryongnyong and the Phantom Actuators’ shared his experiences acting for the first time.

The singer had an opportunity to meet with reporters from SBS on January 12 he shared, “I am receiving a lot of good advice from my senior actors,” before he began his interview.

Interview:

-          A week has passed since you began filming. If anything, what has changed since then?

Answer: “It was really awkward in the beginning. I have participated in shorter one-act plays in the past, but it’s been so long since I’ve even done that. However now I’m now comfortable seeing the staff members every day and think the chemistry is better between the casts.”

-          How are your senior co-stars like?

Answer: “I used to watch movies featuring Oh Dalsoo sunbaenim and thinking that I wanted to be just like him. It’s amazing to working together with him. Like a veteran, he always gives me ideas and suggestions as to how I should approach a particular scene.”

Lim Wonhee sunbaenim is always absorbed in his work. Lee Byung Jun sunbaenim and I work a lot of scenes together. He really gets into his character so much that I really do think he has Alzheimer’s.

Actress Ryu Hyun Kyung is the only female on set; she definitely shows that she is a powerful woman.”

-          How did you decide the concept of your character, Minhyuk?

Answer: “I was thinking of a hacker who has social phobia. He’s kind of a dark character, so I started wearing darker clothes. I usually wear bright and colorful clothes for stage performances, but it’s completely different.

I grew out my hair and toned it down a bit. I also cover my eyes with my hair and try not to make any facial expressions.”

-          What did you realize and feel as you took on this role?

Answer:  “Minhyuk is a character that’s completely different from me. It’s so weird and interesting how I come back to bring myself after being Minhyuk all day. But that’s what make it fun.”

-          Do you wish to share anything to the viewers?

Answer: “Even though it’s a sitcom. I ended up taking a serious role. However I still hope that I can help the viewer’s laugh as they watch the program.”
