Boston Standoff: Adam Kitzenberg Live Tweets Terrifying Standoff Right Outside His Apartment During Manhunt For Boston Bombing Suspect

Adam Kitzenberg, who founded the startup GetOnHand, had this morning's violent police pursuit of the Boston bombers occur right outside his window.  He took pics of the incident as it played out and live-tweeted. Kitzenberg and the other residents was evactuated from his apartment by officers with assault weapons around 6 AM. Starting at around 1 AM, he Tweeted about viewing a shootout between police and a black vehicle. in which a bullet entered his home.

Later, he wrote:

"Bullet hole through our wall and the chair on the second floor, slug beside ‪#mitshooting ‪#mit ‪#boston ‪pic.twitter.com/hk1uf3md8p "

A small bomb or IED exploded around 2 AM on his street.

Shortly after that, he tweeted "Backpacks left on laurel st. Bomb squad is out ‪#mit ‪#mitshooting ‪#boston ‪pic.twitter.com/0A3Mjmshkz "

Bomb squads and robots then inspected the vehicle and went through the backpacks. As the sky gradually lightened, shots of SWAT teams and officers became clearer.

At around 6 AM, Kitzenberg and the other residents was evactuated from his apartment by officers with assault weapons. He went to a friend's house on Oak Street, about a block away. Ironically, a few hours later, he tweeted:

"Suspect may be in 18 oak st. Next door to us. 9 brave people in a basement ‪#mitshooting ‪#mit ‪#Boston ‪pic.twitter.com/61DuzEzVob  "

Kitzenberg was then evacuated again: "Evacuated for the 2nd time out of a house on oak st. Laurel st. is still off limits ‪#mitshooting ‪#mit ‪#Boston ‪pic.twitter.com/2kNVtes6Qt "

The situation is still ongoing. Black Hawk helicopters are in the area and Kitzenberg  is now in nearby Watertown, according to his most recent Tweet about the incident.
