EXO has managed to draw in 145,000 Japanese fans to their recent Tokyo Dome concerts, and the number is made more impressive by the fact that the crowds were from only three performances, according to Yonhap News.
SM Entertainment revealed that the three shows the group held over the weekend starting from Friday, Nov. 6 to Sunday, Nov. 8 managed to attract nearly 50,000 fans each. Fans attended the concert to see and hear the nine-member boy group perform their hits in recent years, including "Call Me Baby," "Overdose," and "Growl."
Following the Tokyo Dome concerts, EXO will storm Osaka Dome for three days from Nov. 13 to 15 where they should draw in thousands of fans as well.
EXO's concerts are part of their ongoing smash debut in Japan. Their Japanese debut single album Love Me Right~ Romantic Universe~ sold a whopping 147,000 copies when it was released on November 10, rising to the top of the Oricon Chart and breaking the record for the most number of albums sold in that country by a Korean artist.
For non-Japanese fans, EXO also released a new music video for their special track "Lightsaber" made in collaboration with Walt Disney Pictures and the Star Wars franchise to help promote the soon-to-release blockbuster flick Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
