YG Entertainment Insiders Confirm The Return Of 2NE1 On November 21

Blackjacks rejoice! The popular South Korean girl group 2NE1 are confirmed for a Nov. 21 comeback, according to record label insiders.

On Monday, Nov. 9, YG Entertainment posted the familiar question "Who's Next?" to the company's official blog and SNS accounts, signifying that another one of their artists would be coming back with new music on Nov. 21 at 21:00 (9:00pm). The double '21' in the teaser poster, according to many fans, seemed to point to the return of YG's most popular female act, 2NE1.

The Korea Herald confirmed the news on Wednesday with sources at YG Entertainment, although it is unclear if the group will release a single, EP, or full album at that time.

The comeback comes as a surprise to many, especially after recent comments from the record label's chief, Yang Hyun Suk saying member Park Bom needed more time for reflection following an amphetamine-smuggling scandal last year.

However, many fans speculated there was more to the story after the singer was spotted leaving the YG headquarters in Seoul last month.

This will be 2NE1's first release in nearly two years. They previously released their second album Crush in February 2014, topping charts and earning the group spots on Best Albums of the Year lists from both Rolling Stone (6th) and Fuse (39th) as well as landing at number 11 on Billboard's 2014 World Albums ranking.

Since then, the four members of the group have been focused on individual projects.

Before stepping out of the limelight to reflect, Park Bom had appeared as a cast member for the celebrity reality show Roommates while Sandara Park has been solidly focused on her own acting career, appearing in several TV and web dramas in recent months. The group's youngest member, Minzy (Gong Minji), spent time in L.A. working on choreography projects and recently opened her own dance studio. 2NE1 leader CL (Lee Chaerin), released a collaboration single "Doctor Pepper" with Diplo and has been preparing to make her official solo debut in the U.S. market.

It's a wonder how they've managed to find the time to get in the recording studio together!
