Playstation VR release date is getting closer and closer.
Since “virtual reality” technology broke into the gaming scenes, gamers everywhere were in awe with this new immersive type of gaming experience. The response from the VR tech in its earliest days inspired many companies to come up with their own consumer friendly versions of the device.
The Playstation VR release date is just a few months away and it would be the first time that VR tech will be made readily available for gamers who want to get the most out of their games.
While the consumer version of the VR tech is being highly anticipated, recent reports gave more details to those who are interested to know more about the product.
A video was released on the Sony Playstation Youtube Channel where the features of the upcoming Playstation VR were highlighted. If getting know what the VR tech was going to have wasn’t enough, there was even a 3D version of the device being shown in all the different angles.
Tech Times reported that the device boasts an updated 5.7” OLED Display, 1080P, 120Hz refresh rate, an accelerometer and gyroscope, 3D lens, positional tracking with nine LEDs and a 360-degree head tracking with a 100-degree field of view.
"Get other players involved. PlayStation VR creates two sets of images: one for the headset and one for a TV, so everyone can join in," stated Sony on the Playstation VR Page.
While there isn’t any price announced, the VR tech will be reportedly sold at $400, almost as much as a gaming console.
The Playstation VR release date is set to the first quarter of 2016.
