Steven Silverstein, the jilted almost-husband of Kendra Pratt-Lee, is suing his former bride for her half of the rent and down payment for the wedding that never happened.

The jilted husband and his ex-bride were to be married on Long Beach, Long Island September 22. Pratt-Lee apparently changed her mind, jilting her husband and calling off the engagement for the second time in a year.

Silverstein filed the lawsuit in the Manhattan Supreme Court, saying the rent he paid and the deposit for the wedding were gifts "in contemplation of their impending marriage." Now the 29-year-old jilted husband wants his former bride to be to reimburse him for all the money he laid out expect her to marry him.

The couple began dating in 2008. Pratt-Lee was a flight attendant and Silverstein was a telecommunications executive. In a scenario similar to a Katherine Heigl movie, the madly in love couple was engaged within a year of beginning their relationship.

The sued bride got cold feet once before, ending the relationship in 2010 after they had already been living together for a year. The couple began their relationship again in 2011, and the wedding was back on, or so Silverstein believed.

In the lawsuit Silverstein claims he began to pay the rent on his own again when his relationship with Pratt-Lee resumed. However 9-months later the sued bride withdrew $54,367.87 from their joint checking account and once again called things off.

Pratt-Lee returned her $32,000 engagement ring, but Silverstein wants more. According to newsoxy.com he says, "He wants the $19,000 back from their bank account, $28,000 in rent, and half of the $27,000 in nonrefundable deposits for which he is on the hook for their nixed nuptials for 150 guests at the Allegria Hotel."

The lawsuit is just getting started and no decision has been made yet. According to other reports, Pratt-Lee is denying the allegations.

In a similar story, a bride to be in Brazil was jilted by her soon to be husband with just 3-days until the ceremony. Ilze de Souza says her boyfriend of 8-years vanished with no explanation, leaving her to pay the cost of the canceled wedding.

De Souza is suing for the cost of the ceremony.
