Report Teases Latest ‘Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens’ News; Chewbacca To Die?

As fans await more news on "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens," Entertainment Weekly has released a special double-issue which teases more details on the highly-anticipated movie.

The collector edition magazine has four different covers which feature the movie's main characters Han Solo in his iconic "blaster" pose; Rey wielding her staff; Finn on high alert; and R2-D2 and C-3PO just chilling out, reported "Entertainment Weekly" magazine.

One of the magazine's articles talks about "Star Wars" creator George Lucas' strategy in introducing the highly-successful franchise to a new generation of followers, and the creativity unleashed by the latest film's writers and artists to develop new creatures, locations and characters.

Another "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" news story reveals details on Lupita Nyong'o's alien pirate Maz Kanata, Princess Leia's current name in the series, plus additional information about Starkiller Base, the planet-sized weapon pictured in the movie's poster.

The magazine also features an in-depth interview with Harrison Ford who talked about his real-life plane crash, and how he managed to survive when the door of a Millennium Falcom slammed on him during filming.

And to answer the much-often asked question: "where is Luke Skywalker?" another story explained how the last remaining Jedi knight "went from hero to intergalactic man of mystery," proof that the movie's creators still have fond memories of the saber-wielding rebel fighter.

Meanwhile, among the latest "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" news that fans have been waiting for are those which will provide hints on who will perish in the space saga, reported The Week.

There have been rumors that Ford's Han Solo might finally die. According to Lucas, the 73-year-old actor wanted his iconic character to be killed off during the "Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back" but was not granted his wish.

Critics also believe that General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) won't last until "Star War's" episode VIII. The Week quoted entertainment site Looper which said, "Like General Grievous before him, we expect Hux to be a one-film wonder."

Chewbacca, one of the most well-loved "Star Wars" characters, might also be another casualty of war. In one of the latest "The Force Awakens" trailers, bends over hairy-looking body while crying, which have made some fans believe that the massive Wookiee might also be eliminated in the film.

It seems that fans can't get enough of "Star Wars 7: The Force Awakens" news, as the film gears up for its Dec. 18 release.
