Psy's 'Gentleman' Looks to Break New Records

From new world records and personal bests to news reports around the world, they are all pouring in as Psy continues to soar with his sensational "Gentleman."

Psy has been the hot topic in just about any entertainment circle in all continents with the hot streak of his music video breaking fastest 100 million YouTube hits as well as 200 million YouTube hits. It is comparable to track star Usain Bolt's heroics in Beijing Olympics when he shocked the world with back-to-back new world records in 100 m and 200 m sprints.

Jumping into Billboard Charts at the 12th spot on its release week, Psy is on his way to do the impossible: beat his previous number two spot on Billboard.

Psy's "Gentleman" has also been nominated for Billboard Music Awards in 6 different categories. Top New Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Streaming Song, Top Rap Song and Top Dance Song are the honors that Psy will be looking to take home on May 19 in Las  Vegas. Top Dance Song, especially, is the one that fits the bill for Psy because of the nature of his song.

Psy received the Best Video Award at last year's MTV European Music Awards, so he is not new to international award ceremonies. Taking home a Billboard Award, however, would be a first for the international star.

Beginning April 25, Psy will embark on a promotional tour in the United States.
