‘Bourne’ 5 Shoot Heats Up As Matt Damon ‘Bleeds’; Film’s Trailer, Plot Still Under Wraps

Months before its premiere, fans are already getting a sense of the "Bourne" 5 movie's plot although its official trailer hasn't been released yet.

Recently, the film's star Matt Damon, was spotted in London as he was shooting scenes of the highly-anticipated espionage thriller's sequel, according to Mail Online.

Damon appeared to be battered on the movie's London set, as his face was covered in fake blood while filming an intense fight scene with a co-actor.

The academy-award winning star, who reprises his role as the rogue, amnesia-laden CIA agent Jason Bourne, was initially seen on top of a building moments before his stunt double fell to the ground.

The "Goodwill Hunting" wore classic blue jeans, a black sweater and a dark brown jacket, while carrying a gun.

The cast and crew of the "Bourne" 5 have been quite tightlipped on the movie's plot, perhaps until such time that the film's trailer has been rolled out.

It has however been confirmed that there will be no cross-over with Jeremy Renner's "Bourne Legacy" character Aaron Cross.

Renner's "Bourne" movie made several references to Damon's original character, which kicked off the franchise's successful run.

Fans are excited with Damon's comeback, as it has been almost 10 years since he starred in his last "Bourne" film.

"The Martian" actor gained critical recognition - and huge box office returns - for his role in the "The Bourne Identity," "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum."

The "Saving Private Ryan" star co-wrote the script of the "Bourne" 5 sequel whose plot and trailer still remain under wraps.

The movie is set to premier on July 29, 2016. Its all-star cast includes Tommy Lee Jones, Alicia Vikander, Julia Stiles and Vincent Cassel.

In an earlier interview with Buzzfeed, Damon explained the reasons behind the lag in shooting the "Bourne" films.

"We always looked at those movies as really about the Bush presidency, and so we kind of had to wait for the world to change," "The Talented Mr. Ripley" actor said.

"Without giving too much of it away, it's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world," he added.

Followers of the "Bourne" 5 film will just have to wait for more plot details, as the movie's trailer is still in the works.
