Though there's no telling when she'll debut, "K-pop Star 4" winner and new YG Entertainment artist Katie Kim appears to be having a positive experience with training so far.
Here's hoping Yang Hyun Suk keeps his promise about a quick debut.
Recently, Katie Kim made an appearance on the newest season of "K-pop Star" with fellow previous contestants Park Ji Min, Jung Seung Hwan, and Lee Jin Ah to talk about their lives since being on the show. Specifically, when others commented on her slimmer appearance, Kim talked about her diet and exercise plan since joining YG Entertainment that has yielded the results.
"My agency told me to go on a diet. I lost 10 kilograms by maintaining a balanced diet and working out," said Kim (via Soompi).
For those of us on the U.S. metric system, it appears that Katie Kim lost 22 pounds since her "K-pop Star 4" win earlier this year, which is an impressive feat for a few months in time.
Other than her diet and exercise, Katie Kim has overall expressed much happiness with her time so far at YG Entertainment. Earlier in the year when she first visited the building as an official artist, she explained that she was welcomed by president Yang Hyun Suk with open arms.
"Because it's YG I thought people would be cold so I was nervous. I was grateful to be welcomed with open arms as soon as I went in," explained Kim.
Though there's no certainty when Katie Kim will officially debut, Yang Hyun Suk did promise a quick turnaround reminiscent of label mates and fellow "K-pop Star" contestants Lee Hi and Akdong Musician.
Here's hoping for her fans' sake it doesn't take a whole year.
"K-pop Star 5" will premiere on Nov. 22.
