Fox News Reporter Stops Kisses From Two Women During Live Report On Boston Marathon Bombings, Praised For Calmness and Professionalism

A reporter stops kisses coming his way from two women while airing a live report about the Boston Marathon bombings. The broadcaster became an online sensation after he stopped the inappropriate photo bombing very calmly and without missing a beat, continuing his live coverage about Monday’s tragic event.

Fox News reporter Mike Tobin was speaking about the timeline of the bombs when two women ran towards him and attempted to kiss him on the cheeks.

Tobin was working with Shepard Smith and was mid-way through a report on the FBI’s allegations on how the bomb attack was carried out by the suspects, eventually killing three people.

As the women attempted to interrupt him, the reporter held out both arms to push them away. He said, “Please don’t do that” before continuing, almost seamlessly with the rest of the report. The Mail reported on Tobin’s professionalism with the headline, “Calmest news reporter ever?”

Tobin, who has covered wars in the Middle East and Pakistan, said that the pair’s actions were inappropriate. He later tweeted @MikeTobinFox, “Heckling comes with the biz. But it's not like they would not no the sbjct. I hope their friends let thm no it wz inappropriate."

The Fox News reporter was praised for his professionalism in handling the situation.

Grant Friedman mentioned Tobin on Twitter posting, "@MikeTobinFox eyes on the sides of your head. Nice work!" Tradd Slayton on Twitter posted, "That was great Mike fought off 2 kiss bombs and didn't miss a beat!"

User raindog tweeted, "Molested by fools. @MikeTobinFox executes the double stiff arm defense with commentary and continues his live report. #GraceUnderPressure."

The youngest Boston bomber suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was formally charged Monday using “weapons of mass destruction” after the twin bombings on April 15 killed three people and injured more than 180.

The second suspect, and the brains behind the attack according to Dzhokhar, Tamerlan Tzarnaev, was killed during a police shootout early Friday morning.

Tsarnaev’s family said that a mysterious Muslim radical led Tamerlan from a religiously apathetic young man to a fundamentalist and the attacks could have been motivated in part by such extreme leaning.
