Will 5SOS bassist Calum Hood finally own up to having a girlfriend?
This has been a question among fans of the popular Australian band after its drummer Ashton Irwin reportedly admitted that he was involved in a romantic relationship with Playboy Playmate Bryana Holly, according to the Daily Mail.
The 21-year-old rocker made the revelation as he joined his band mates during a guesting at Howard Stern's radio program at XiriusFM.
Although not specifically mentioning Holly's name, Irvin announced that he had split with his alleged girlfriend, saying, "I actually tried to have a relationship and it just didn't work out."
Calum Hood, who has held bassist chores for 5SOS for the past four years, may decide to follow suit and spill the beans on his rumored girlfriend after he was spotted accompanying a "stunning blond" during a recent shopping trip to Manhattan, reported the Daily Mail in a separate article.
The pair appeared to be comfortable with each other, as they "chatted away merrily."
Despite the success that the band has been enjoying, members of the popular quartet are caught in a difficult situation, as they are bounded by a "no-girlfriend policy" and should just focus on their careers.
This could perhaps be the reason why 5SOS bassist Calum Hood kept a low profile with the striking blonde at the New York mall who many believe might be his real-life girlfriend.
And after winning VMA's Song of the Year wherein the Aussie musicians bested the likes of Fifth Harmony, Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, the band's policy of staying away from the opposite sex may be working to its advantage.
Meanwhile, during an interview with Teen Vogue via Unreality TV, Calum shared, "Ashton and Luke really like travelling," adding, "But Michael's [Clifford] always pretty happy at home."
The teen music superstar shared that he and his bandmates have now learned to enjoy their jet-setting ways, as this has given them the opportunity to visit different places across the globe.
"We're all away so much that sometimes just being in one place for a while is the best thing," the musician from Down Under said.
"I think we're going to get to go to Asia and South America on tour next summer though, which will be really cool," he added.
With the fame and popularity that 5SOS is currently enjoying, bassist Calum Hood may need to reign in his emotions and keep the identity of his rumored girlfriend to himself a little longer.
