KBS Under Fire for Breaking Own Policy to Reject Psy's MV

The recent decision by the major TV network KBS to reject Psy's music video of "Gentleman" is under scrutiny with the report of a possible misconduct during its review process.

According 'Media Today,' KBS allegedly circumvented its own rules and regulations while going through the review process of Psy's music video. A review committee is supposed to consist of seven members, four department heads and three independent committee members. Also, a majority of the committee has to attend the review meeting and need to obtain a majority ruling. Sources accused the review committee of proceeding the review of Psy's music video with only three members present.

In response to the report, KBS stated that it is looking into what actually took place.

In the other two major networks, MBC and SBS, Psy's edited music video received a PG-13 rating without much trouble and will be aired on their networks.

If the report turns out to be true, KBS, which has been promoting itself as the hub of K-Pop wave, will have a few questions to answer to the public.
