Jessica Alba Wore a Double Corset Day And Night For Three Months To Get Back Pre-Baby Body [VIDEO]

Jessica Alba had an unusual method to getting her fit figure back after giving birth to daughters Honor and Haven.

"I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it." Alba, 31, said. "It was brutal; it's not for everyone."

"Imagine taking a big breath and never fully exhaling," she said.  "That's basically the feeling the person has for hours."

Stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kourtney Kardashian and Jennifer Garner have all been rumored to sport the tight-fitting tops after delivering their children.

"The concept behind abdominal binders is very common after surgery and after the delivery of a baby to help support abdominal muscles, help with posture and reduce the feeling of bloating.

"Dancing with The Stars" alum Brook Burke-Chavet, mother of four, loves the product so much she intented her own one. "It supports that baggy baby skin," said Burke-Charvet, 41.  "It helps you with water retention and it just makes you feel like you have some support around your belly because everything is changing.  Everything is stretched out."

Motherhood was worth the toll Alba's body. Alba, who married to Cash Warren in 2008, said that her two little ones have changed how she thinks about her work.

"My approach to acting now is different -- I'm fearless because I have nothing to lose," Alba said. "Before [children] my identity was wrapped up in every decision. Now, I don't care. It could be a pile of s--- and you could think it was the worst thing you ever saw, but I still had the best experience."

Alba also spoke about her new book, "The Honest Life," which hit number three on the New York Times Best Sellers list.

Alba's book talks about her ongoing struggle with allergies, which are so bad that the actress replaced the real grass in her garden with artificial turf.
