Voting is well underway for our end of the year Best of K-Pop Awards polls and the rankings from last week's voting seem to have been shaken up a bit over the weekend.
In the category of "Best Rookie Group" TWICE is holding onto first with 38.05% of the votes but the margin between JYP's rookie girl group sensation and Pledis Entertainment's boy group, SEVENTEEN, has narrowed. Coming in with 18.79% of the votes, SEVENTEEN still holds second but with 17.4% of the votes, JYP's rookie band, DAY6 could very well upset the rankings in this category's top three.
Upsets abound in the 4th-10th place holders as MONSTA X brings in 6.62% of the votes, knocking iKON, who holds 5.57% of the votes, down to fifth. UP10TION makes the biggest wave in the "Best Rookie Group" category, jumping from 10th to 6th place with 4.36% of the votes. N.Flying holds their position in seventh with 3.44% of the votes while GFRIEND drops to eighth with 3.02%. Oh My Girl drops to 9th with 1.65% of the votes and CLC holds onto a position in the top ten by claiming 1.12% of the votes and tenth place.
In the category of "Best Artist" TVXQ's U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin hold on to first and second with 29.74% and 11.18% of the votes, respectively. 2PM's Nickhun claims the final spot in the top three with 8.62% of the votes, knocking the former third place holder, band-mate Chansung, down to tenth.
GOT7's BamBam jumps to fourth with 6.49% of the votes while band-mate, Jackson, claims fifth with 5.77%. 2PM's Wooyoung, Taecyeon, Junho, Jun.K and Chansung round out the top ten, proving there is some serious love out there for JYP Entertainment's various boy groups.
In the category of "Best Group" TVXQ still manages to hold on to first with 32.16% of the votes but with 2PM raking in 25.24% of the votes, the margin between these two groups is closing fast. However, label-mate GOT7 could give both veteran groups a run for their money as they make an impressive jump to third with 23.04% of the votes.
With GOT7's jump into the top three, BTS falls to fourth with 8.99% of the votes. SHINee's hold on fifth gets tighter as they increase their number of votes held to 2.18%. INFINITE jumps to sixth place with 1.12% of the votes but a mere 0.1% separates them from seventh place Big Bang. However that minuscule margin of separation seems to be the standard in this category's top ten as CNBLUE comes in eighth with 1% of the votes, VIXX takes ninth with 0.95% of the votes and FT Island takes tenth with 0.84% of the votes, proving this is still anyone's game.
In the category of "Best Song" 2PM's "My House" increases their number of votes to 37.44%, widening the gap between first and second as BTS' "I Need U" holds steady with 20.61% of the votes. GOT7's "Just Right" jumps to third with 14.63% of the votes, knocking Super Junior's "Magic" down to fourth.
SHINee's "View" drops to fifth with 3.71% of the votes while INFINITE's "Bad" jumps from ninth to sixth with 2.19% of the votes. EXO's "Love Me Right" moves up one position, into seventh, with 1.9% of the votes while Big Bang's "Bang Bang Bang" falls to eight with 1.76%. Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day" drops to ninth with 1.4% of the votes and VIXX's "Love Equation" climbs to tenth with 1.34% of the total votes.
There is still plenty of time for you to vote in this year's polls so be sure to come back each and every day to cast your vote for all of your favorite groups, artists and songs!
