After some serious upsets over this past weekend things seem to be settling down as voting continues in our end of the year K-pop Awards Polls.
In the category of "Best Song" 2PM's "My House" continues to hold a tight grip on first with 38.42% of the votes while BTS' "I Need U" continues to maintain a 6% lead over GOT7's "Just Right." Coming in with 20.5% and 14.27% of the votes, respectively, BTS and GOT7 have a solid grasp on second and third with nearly double the percentage of votes held by Super Junior's fourth place song, "Magic" which claims 7.58% of the votes.
SHINee's "View" keeps hold of fifth, with 3.67% of the votes while INFINITE's "Bad" holds steady at sixth with 2% of the votes. The competition for ranks 7-10 heats up as the difference in percentage points between all 4 songs is right around 0.1%. Coming in at seventh, EXO's "Love Me Right" claims 1.8% of the votes. Big Bang's "Bang Bang Bang" remains in eighth with 1.72% of the votes. Jung Yong Hwa's "One Fine Day" holds steady in ninth with 1.62% of the votes and VIXX's "Love Equation" takes tenth with 1.54%.
In the category of "Best Rookie Group" TWICE continues to dominate with 39.42% of the votes. SEVENTEEN remains in second with 18.31% of the votes but DAY6 is still very much in the running, bringing in 17.13% of the votes.
Widening the margin between fourth and fifth, Monsta X claims 7.01% of the votes and fourth place while fifth place iKON's votes drop to 5.26%. UP10TION continues to hold steady in sixth with 4.54% of the votes and N.Flying remains in seventh with 3.24%. G-Friend continues to hold onto eighth with 2.67% of the votes. Oh My Girl keeps a steady hold on ninth with 1.41% of the votes and CLC rounds out the top ten with 1% of the votes.
In the category of "Best Artist" TVXQ's U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin continue to hold the top 2 spots, coming in with 28.35% and 10.57% of the votes, respectively. 2PM's Nickhun is quickly closing the gap between second and third as he now trails Max Changmin by a mere 1.31%. Coming in with 9.26% of the votes Nickhun is making it difficult for label-mate BamBam of GOT7 to catch up.
Coming in with 5.96% of the votes GOT7's BamBam still holds on to fourth place but 2PM's Wooyoung doesn't seem to be willing to settle for fifth. With 5.25% of the votes, Wooyoung overtakes GOT7's Jackson in fifth and stands poised and ready to do the same here. However, coming in sixth with 5.12% of the votes, Jackson could very easily reclaim his #5 position and climb even higher, which means this is still very much anyone's game. 2PM's Junho, Jun.K, Taecyeon and Chansung round out the top ten, bringing in 4.33%, 3.42%, 3.4% and 2.86% of the votes, respectively.
In the category of "Best Group," TVXQ continues to come in first with 30.1% of the votes while GOT7 overtakes label-mate 2PM, claiming second with 25.98% of the votes. With 24.72% of the votes 2PM drops to third but maintains a sizable margin over the other top ten contenders.
With 8.9% of the votes, BTS holds steady in fourth while SHINee follow suit in fifth with 2.12%. CNBLUE makes an impressive jump to sixth with 1.05% of the votes, knocking yesterday's sixth place holder, INFINITE, down to ninth. In similar fashion, VIXX climbs 2 places, to seventh, with 1.04% of the votes, knocking Big Bang down to eighth. With 1% of the votes, Big Bang holds a 0.02% lead over INFINITE while the ninth place group holds a 0.03% lead over FT Island, who comes in at number ten.
The competition within these four categories has been fierce as in most cases, mere fractions of a percent separate one position from the other. With such small margins between rankings every vote makes a difference so be sure to come back every day and cast your vote for all your favorite groups, artists and songs!
