Oculus Rift Release Date, Price And Features: Valve's SteamVR platform gave an update on ongoing development for the latest version of the Oculus Rift SDK and Runtime on Nov. 30. SteamVR will continue to offer support for the Oculus Rift for the latest version of the Rift SDK and Runtime (v0.8).

SteamVR is currently being compared with Steam's 'Big Picture Mode', but SteamVR games can be launched and viewed with the headset in the upcoming Virtual Reality updates.

Oculus Rift DK2 was one of the first VR headsets to support SteamVR. Some of the workers left the company after Oculus was acquired by Facebook. Oculus and Valve's relationship has been closing out.

Valve revealed in early 2015 that it was partnering with HTC to create the Vive headset for SteamVR.

Meanwhile, the VR experience Eagle Flight is flying high over Paris. The game is set 50 years after the city is abandonment by humans. Ubisoft's new VR game, which will be available for PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, lets gamers can fly over cities.

There were reports that Ubisoft put a camera on a bald eagle to promote Assassin's Creed Syndicate and the footage is being used for Eagle Flight.

Ubisoft promises that it will tease more Eagle Flight features as the release date comes closer.

Road to VR reported that gamers use their head to control direction and the controller manages the speed. Players can soar high above the cities or fly low on city streets, under bridges and through gaps to outwit opponents in the game.

"Eagle Flight" is expected have multiplayer modes that will also allow up to six players to join the game. It will also have single-player missions.

Eagle Flight is scheduled to launch in 2016. According to IGN, Ubisoft says Eagle Flight will focus on "accessibility and comfort."

Ubisoft's product description says players will be able to "perform impressive aerial maneuvers and engage in heart-pounding aerial dogfights in the blink of an eye."

The VR title is set to launch 2016 for PlayStation VR on PS4, and for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive on PC.
