Kristen Stewart has been very vocal about her thoughts on fame in the past years. Now, the latest news on the actress revealed that she's not into blockbuster movies anymore like "Twilight.
As reported by Gossip Cop, the César-winning actress recently revealed that her new goal was to go back to indie movies where she found more satisfaction when it came to her acting career.
"I need to choose films based on what my gut instincts tell me," she told Diva magazine, "I made a conscious decision to avoid blockbusters and choose smaller projects that might attract less attention... but are going to satisfy me artistically."
The César-winning actress also revealed to the magazine that she felt more in control of her life when doing smaller projects as fame sometimes bites.
"When your career reaches a certain level, there are so many responsibilities that come with that and sometimes you feel that your life is not your own anymore," she explained. "That's why I decided to change a lot of things about how I was working and try to be true to myself."
Despite the news, Kristen Stewart has previously starred in big Hollywood projects like "Twilight." Does the César-winning actress resent starring in the film and the fame it brought?
Although the "Clouds of Sils Maria" actress has resented fame calling it "the worst thing in the world" as reported by ABC News last April, it seemed the feeling doesn't extend to the vampire movie franchise.
"Anybody who wants to talk s--t about 'Twilight,' I completely get it, but there's something there that I'm endlessly, and to this day, f--king proud of," she told Interview magazine in March as quoted by Us Weekly. "My memory of it felt - still feels - really good."
Kristen Stewart even told Uproxx last in August that she loved the idea of a reboot for the movie but not to the point that she would star in it again. According to the latest news, the César-winning actress is currently busy filming for the movie "Personal Shopper."
