Photos taken from a BTS DVD show the group's manager raising his hand in what has been called a "threatening" manner towards the youngest member, Jeon Jungkook.
The photos were from a clip on the '2016 BTS Season's Greetings DVD Making' video, where the manager appears to be raising his hand in a coercive manner while speaking to Jungkook. BTS's management agency, Big Hit Entertainment took swift action and released a statement detailing the action they took against the manager.
"We sincerely apologize for worrying fans due to the DVD," they began. "We strictly prohibit any actions that diminish the capabilities of artists at Big Hit. The manager in question has acknowledged his mistake and has been removed from his position."
Big Hit also stated their intention to get to investigate the matter further. "We will also ask his supervisor to take more responsibility for his subordinates."
In addition, Big Hit also mentioned their determination to prevent future incidents like this from occuring. "Big Hit Entertainment consider this a very significant problem that has shaken our company principles."
They ended the letter by apologizing to the fans.
