Ashton Kutcher of 'Two and a Half Men' In Violent Shoving Match at Dwight Yoakam Concert

Ashton Kutcher, star of CBS' hit television show, Two and a Half Men, was reported to have been involved in a violent scuffle with a security guard at a Dwight Yoakam, Nick 13 concert, yesterday, according to TMZ, the gossip-oriented website.

The confrontation took place at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival in Indio, California when a woman who said she was a fan approached Kutcher while he was in a VIP area watching the performances. When Kutcher went to shake the fan's hand, a security guard allegedly pushed the two apart.

Kutcher had started to talk to the woman when the guard stepped in and reportedly shoved both the woman and Kutcher.

Kutcher shoved the guard back and had to be restrained by his friends, TMZ reported. Kutcher left the festival of his own volition. Eyewitnesses told TMZ it was the guard, and not Kutcher, who started the fracas.

The guard demanded Kutcher be ejected after violent shoving between the two, but the actor left on his own, witnesses said. Eyewitnesses told TMZ that the actor was not aggressive in any way, but it was the security guard who was "out of line."

Meanwhile, the music festival -- in its sixth year -- is earning a reputation as being more rowdy than its rock counterpart, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held earlier this month in the same desert area of California, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.

At the halfway mark of the Stagecoach festival, police had arrested 53 people for various drug- and alcohol-related offenses, said Benjamin Guitron of the Indio Police Department.

A total of 80 people were arrested during the entire Coachella festival this year, the Times said. At last year's Stagecoach festival, 171 people were arrested.

Police ramped up security this year, banning camping in tents and sleeping in cars at the Empire Polo Club grounds where the festival is held.

Kutcher, formerly married to actress, Demi Moore, took over the lead role in Two and a Half Men two years ago after its former star, Charlie Sheen, had his contract terminated by the show's producers for a variety of controversial statements Sheen made about the show and for several criminal arrests he incurred.
