Ashton Kutcher Melee At Stagecoach Country Music Festival Was Initiated by Security Guard, Eyewitnesses Report

Was there an Ashton Kutcher melee at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival this weekend? A security guard bizarrely started shoving Kutcher when he tried to say hello to a fan. The two nearly came to blows as they shoved each other before friends and fans separated the pair, TMZ reports.

The former "That 70's Show" actor attended the Stagecoach festival in Indio, California this weekend. On Saturday, Kutcher was watching Nick 13 and Dwight Yoakam performances in the VIP area when a fan approached to shake the actor's hand.

When Kutcher went to reciprocate the extended hand and say hello to the fan, the security guard allegedly pushed the two apart.

The guard then demanded Kutcher be ejected after a violent shoving match between the two ensued. Friends broke it up before it turned to fisticuffs, but the Two and a Half Men star was already leaving.

Eyewitnesses report it was the guard who initiated the altercation, jostling both the fan and Kutcher as they attempted to connect.

The Stagecoach festival is reportedly getting rowdier than the more acclaimed Coachella Festival, also in Indio, California, earlier this month.

Halfway through the festival, police are said to have arrested 53 people for various drug and alcohol-related offenses, said Benjamin Guitron of the Indio Police Department.

Only 80 people were arrested during the entire Coachella festival this year, but at last year's Stagecoach festival, 171 people were arrested.

The police presence was significantly ramped up this year, banning camping in tents and sleeping in cars at the Empire Polo Club grounds where the festival is held.

Kutcher has been starring in the highly rated CBS show, Two and a Half Men, after series regular, Charlie Sheen, went on an epic media rant and was kicked off the sitcom before 2011 season began. Kutcher's own movie career has stalled after numerous openings have flopped.

But the 35-year-old actor is scheduled to play iconic Apple Designer, Steve Jobs, in the upcoming biography "JOBS" tracing the Apple founder's ascent after dropping out of college to become one of the most revered and influential entrepreneur's of the 20th century.
