Connie Britton, Star Of ABC's "Nashville" Says "Friday Night Lights" Movie A Possibility: "I Would Love It!"[VIDEO]

Connie Britton, the gorgeous, red headed actress admitted that there might be a movie adaptation of the show "Friday Night Lights."

Ending its five season-run in 2011, "Friday Night Lights" was largely praised by critics, and gained much of its popular acclaim once it was made available on streaming websites such as Netflix.

46-year-old Britton told E! News at the White House Correspondents' Dinner over the weekend, "I would love it to happen," I'm a big supporter of it happening."

Britton, who played the beloved Tami Taylor, wife of Kyle Chandler's Coach Eric Taylor, on "Friday Night Lights" said that while nothing's set in stone, several people who were involved with the show are in support of a big-screen adaptation.

"I know it was being written and [creator] Peter Berg is really serious about it, so I think if everybody got on board, I don't see why we couldn't have a movie."

FNL really put the ginger beauty on the map and she currently stars on ABC's "Nashville" playing country music star, Reyna James.  The role is multilayered and fascinating.  Reyna's a mother, a wife to a politician, and has an old flame that gets more heated as he keeps turning up in her life.

Britton also sings and entertains on "Nashville" and delivers a beautiful, almost Faith Hill inspired, performance every week.

If the "Friday Night Lights" movie does get made Connie will be involved but one character may not return; heartthrob Tim Riggins, played by Taylor Kitsch.

In a 2012 interview, Kitsch told Access Hollywood that he supports a FNL screenplay, but isn't sure he wants to mess with Tim's storyline.

"Pete [Berg] knows this as much as anyone else... I love the way that we ended the character of where he's at," the actor explained at the time. "I love playing him, but I think I want to leave him the way that it is."
