Former KARA member and solo artist Nicole Jung revealed her selfless side with news that she designed 300 T-shirts for a good cause.
The "MAMA" singer participated in a charity project called the "Making Hope Shirts" event that gave out T-shirts to autistic children in China, reports The Korea Herald.
More than donating money and lending her popularity to the cause, the idol herself helped design the T-shirts that will likely be treasured by their recipients, and at the very least make them smile.
"The shirts I joined in designing will be sent to the treatment center for the disabled in China's Shenyang," Nicole reportedly said. "I hope it can deliver hope and warmth to them."
Nicole's latest good deed was not lost among online commenters. Many fans acknowledged the sincerity behind her actions, describing her effort as "heartwarming."
"What a nice person," "She's doing something good, don't talk about how she's doing this for her image or whatever. Just take it for what it is and praise her for something deserving of praise," said fans.
But with the compliments came remarks that she is not as popular now as when she was part of KARA.
"Her popularity isn't what it used to be after she left but at least she's doing way better things with herself," "She's a good person... unfortunate about how things turned out for her though," said fans.
Nicole and another former KARA member Kang Jiyoung both left the group after choosing not to renew their contracts with DSP Media.
Nicole then signed an exclusive contract with B2M Entertainment, under which she released her solo debut mini album First Romance in November 2014 which sold more than 10,000 copies.
