KARA's Gyuri burst into tears during a surprise event thrown by staff members of her first drama, 'Nail Shop Paris.'

On April 23, the last day of filming, the staff members prepared a small surprise for the cast of the drama. They simulated a blackout and, while everyone was in frenzy, a celebratory cake was brought into the pitch dark room. It was the staff members' way of saying thank you to the actors and actresses who worked tirelessly during their filming period. Many of the cast members were at a loss of words. KARA's Gyuri, who is making her debut as an actress with a  lead female character, burst into tears on the spot.

As her first big role came to an end, she confessed that she has had a tough time dealing with the void created by investing so much into a character and departing from it. With Gyuri going down in tears, other cast members like Jun Ji Hoo, Song Jae Rim and Chun Doong came over to console her.

Via Twitter, Gyuri stated, "This has been a special opportunity and a privilege not everyone gets. I thank each and every one from our crew."

'Nail Shop Paris' will premiere on May 3.
