Madonna's daughter, Lourdes, is all grown up making decisions for herself.  Her latest choice was to dye her hair green.

Already known for her unique alternative style and having recently gone public with her first boyfriend, it looks like Lourdes, 16,  is solidifying her move into adulthood by changing her hair color.

The emerald streak in the front of her head was probably applied on her own. We give props to her one-of-a-kind new style.  I'm sure all the kids will be doing it now. Remember Manic Panic! Or Dying your hair with Kool-Aid!

Lourdes' father Carlos Leon is known to be protective.  Lourdes herself has allegedly spoken about her opinion on her father being "overprotective" reportedly saying that she wants to make sure he does not get too involved.

And of course her mother Madonna has also spoken out about the strict rules she insists on her daughter, but the 'Material Girl' laughed about the colored streak.  I guess she realizes that she's gone through so many outward transitions that she's the last person to throw stones.

The young fashionista was spotted wearing regular teenage clothes including a barely there white T-shirt, high waist jeans, and large hoop earrings.

Lourdes was also wearing the same tiny red string Kabbalah bracelet she has been spotted wearing a lot lately. She practices the hybrid Jewish faith with her famous mother and family.  

Madonna and her daughter have collaborated together to design a clothing line called "Material Girl" that is sold exclusively at Macy's.

The clothes range in price from $12 to $40. In addition to shirts, skirts and such, the family knows you wouldn't be "Vogue"-ready without the coordinating shoes, jewelry and handbags to match. Lourdes designs most of the items and has quite an eye for fashion.

Maybe this is Lourdes's way of getting new customers to shop the line.  Or maybe she's just being a teenager and experimenting with new looks.  Either way, we love the green accent to her already hip New York style.
