Jon Stewart Takes Over Stephen Colbert's Show To Promote The Zadroga Act?

Jon Stewart took over Stephen Colbert's monologue recently in a bid to create more awareness for the Zardroga Act.

As told by USA Today, the "Late Show" host was in the middle of his talk about presidential hopeful Donald Trump when the former "Daily Show" host suddenly crashed the segment to promote the call for better health care coverage for 9/11 first responders.

"After the sacrifice of our first responders..." Stewart began when Colbert stopped him and said "Boring."

The "Late Show" host then suggested that the public awareness for the act would gather more attention in Donald Trump was associated into the issue.

"I hate to go pro on you here, but you've been out of the game for a while," he told Stewart as quoted by Details. "That's got no zazz! No one's going to listen to you unless you Trump it up a bit. The media won't pay attention to anything at all, unless you are Donald Trump."

The former "Late Show" host then proceeded to deliver his speech while impersonating the presidential hopeful.

"These 9/11 first responders..." he began again, as seen on the video, but this time with exaggerated gestures and a promise to win the next elections.

The Zadroga Act for the 9/11 first responders that Jon Stewart was promoting on Stephen Colbert's show has already expired and the former "Daily Show" host has been calling on Congress to extend it to provide real-life heroes health protection.

After much campaign, the former "Daily Show" host and other supporters of the act won the battle as it has been extended for more than 70 more years.

As reported by the New York Daily News, Congress both agreed to give the 9/11 responders a lifetime coverage after suffering several health issues after the terror attack.

"It's a very good day," Joseph Zadroga, whose son James Zadroga died due to an ailment he got during rescue efforts, said. "I always say it's not a done deal until it's a done deal. There were some bumps in the road, but we had some great support this time."
