On Monday, it was reported that Big Bang's youngest member, Seungri, filed a lawsuit against a female singer who is said to have scammed him out of 2 billion KRW (approximately 1.678 million USD.)
Big Bang's Seungri (Lee Seung Hyun) filed the lawsuit after losing his money in a real estate scam. Following the announcement of the lawsuit, Big Bang's agency, YG Entertainment, announced that it plans to take "joint action" along with Seungri's personal lawsuit.
According to Korea's Segye Ilbo, Seungri was scammed at the hands of Shin Eun Sung. He filed a fraud lawsuit against Shin on Dec. 29 of last year.
Shin approached Seungri in 2014 to invest in a building. He gave her 2 billion KRW initially, plus an additional 50 million KRW (around $43,000 USD) when Shin asked for additional cash.
Shin was a singer who was most active in the early 2000's. She released her first album, "Go Away," in 2003, and followed up with her second album "Bye Bye" in 2004. She recently shut down an entertainment agency she had personally established.
Seungri spent much of 2015 working on Big Bang's "MADE" comeback project and touring the world with the rest of Big Bang.
