Miley Cyrus V Cover: Cyrus Shows Some Skin In ‘V’ Magazine; Talks Album, Liam Hemsworth In Interview [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

Miley Cyrus appeared on the cover of May's issue of V magazine, and Cyrus is wearing even sexier clothes and poses than in last week's Elle UK photo shoot. For the V cover, Miley stripped down, exposing some underboob and "even showing a bit of derriere," according to Entertainment Tonight.

This is the latest confirmation that Miley Cyrus has totally shed her Disney princess image. After chopping her hair off a few months ago, Miley released a 'twerk' video to her Facebook friends, proving Cyrus was 'Hannah Montana' no more.

In the V Magazine images, she sports her signature short hair dyed a variety of colors. Miley talked about her sudden image makeover in an interview with the magazine, "I chopped my hair and bought a pair of Docs and never looked back."

In the new V issue, Miley sat for an interview alongside mentor Pharrell Williams, who helped her to produce her new album.

Miley said of the record, "Everyone can like what we're doing. That's when I feel like my record is so different. It's not what people expect where it's me giving my middle finger and saying, 'F--- you.' I didn't make a record for the people that love me."

"I made a record for the people that love me, but then I made a record for the people that I want to start to understand me."

Miley Cyrus's album will be released sometime in 2013, although a date hasn't been confirmed.

She admitted to the magazine that she's happy to have taken her time in producing her new music. "I got excited because on this record I can say whatever I want. And then I got more comfortable with that and the record got better and better."

"If I had made it two years ago when I should have had a record come out, it would have been a little brat trying to say, 'This isn't who I am! This is what I'm trying to prove!' Now I'm not trying to prove anything to anybody."

Of her new sound, Miley said, "I can never say that I don't love Party in the U.S.A. and that I'm not appreciative of it. It would be like my dad saying that he hated Achy Breaky. It's what gives you everything that you have. I would never take it back."

Pharrell told V Magazine that he was impressed with Cyrus when he first met her. "When I met her, I just thought of a ball of fire. She was saying, 'I like this and I like that.' And I was impressed, because she knew how to say those things."

Although the public is looking forward to her new album, most people are more interested in her relationship with actor Liam Hemsworth than in her music.

In the interview, Miley mentioned that rumors of her split with fiancé Liam Hemsworth are false, but added that they don't get to spend as much time together as they'd like to.

She said, "I'm not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week it's 'Are they broken up? Because we don't see a photo of them.' I don't have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don't.

"I'd rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him. And then I'm at the studio all day. He gets up to work out at six and I come home at five from the studio."

Cyrus added that her first priority has been her music, above potential wedding plans. "I put this record before everything, and I've never done that with anything. I've put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it."

The May issue of V magazine will be available on newsstands on May 9.
