JYP Entertainment has something to ask of GOT7's fans.
On Jan. 4, JYP Entertainment posted an official notice on its website regarding the activities of GOT7's fans. According to JYP, GOT7 and their neighbors have experienced difficult times due to fans visiting GOT7's apartment building.
JYP Entertainment asked fans to act with more "mature behavior" regarding GOT7.
The statement said that GOT7 and others who live in their neighborhood have been "deep inconvenienced."
JYP asked all fans to send gifts and letters directly through JYP Entertainment rather than trying to visit GOT7 at their home.
K-pop fans have a history of visiting the dorms and homes of their favorite Korean idols.
The drama "Reply 1997" parodied a situation with a character visiting H.O.T's home, but there are also cases of fans breaking into apartments and stealing objects. Idols apartment buildings have also been defaced, with fans writing messages to the idols on public buildings.
GOT7 made headlines today after announcing an upcoming concert series in Toronto, Canada later this year.
