Court Date Set In Kim Hyun Joong Baby Case To Determine Custody And Child Support

A date has been set for Kim Hyun Joong and his ex-girlfriend, Mrs. Choi, to meet in court for the first time since the results of the paternity test were released.

In December, the test results showed a 99.9999% DNA match between Kim and his ex-girlfriend's son.

The two will meet in court on Feb. 26 to determine who will gain custody of the child and how much child support or alimony, if any, will be paid out.

Even though the paternity test results have been established, Kim and Choi still have ongoing lawsuits against each other. Previously, Choi had sued Kim for 1.6 billion won ($1.3 million USD) in damages, claiming that she was pregnant but miscarried due to Kim physically abusing her. In response, Kim filed a countersuit, suing her for slander to the tune of 1.2 billion won ($10.5 million USD).

Recently, Kim Hyung Joong's parents announced that they would raise the child if Choi was unable to.

Kim Hyun Joong has been in the army since May of 2015. He has still not seen the child, who was born in September 2015.
