K-pop won big at the 2016 Weibo Night Awards.
Held in China on Thursday, the 2016 Weibo Night Awards recognized K-pop acts like Beast, 2PM, JYP, and more. BEAST walked away big winners with the Asia Popularity Award, a sign of the group's popularity in Chinese-speaking communities around the world.
Other K-pop stars, including Park Jin Young and 2PM's Nichkhun, also received awards.
Park Jin Young (JYP), the founder of JYP Entertainment, was recognized as the Most Influential Producer of the Year, while Nichkhun was named "Male God of the Year."
Former EXO member Kris (Wu Yi Fan) received praise as the 2015 Weibo King, and was recognized as a Strong New Actor.
Lee Kwangsoo, Gary, and Song Ji Hyo of "Running Man" also received awards.
During the ceremony, Beast performed "Good Luck" and "YeY." Beast was the only K-pop act invited to perform.
The group's 2015 singles, "Gotta Go To Work" and "YeY," topped the viral chart on Yinyetai, the biggest music website in China.
Sina Weibo is China's most popular social media site and popular around the world among Chinese-speaking people.
2015 Weibo Night was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Beijing on Jan. 7.
