The YG Family members appear enthusiastic for the upcoming WINNER comeback album.
After Lee Hi's initial pre-release cover, Taeyang has also come out with his own powerful version of WINNER's unreleased song "Baby Baby" ahead of the boy group's Feb. 1 release of their new Exit album.
YG Entertainment uploaded Taeyang's "Baby Baby" pre-release cover on Jan. 22 on the official WINNER page and it showcased the Big Bang member's powerful vocals as well as the song's romantic vibes of a yearning lover calling out to his partner.
"Baby Baby" was written and composed by WINNER member Nam Taehyun.
Fans not only praised Taeyang's singing ability in the short clip, but also expressed their excitement for WINNER's comeback due to the unique promotion strategy of having the boy group's fellow agency artists drop cover versions even before the song's official release.
"Taeyang! Vocals on point as usual," "YG really knows how to hype a comeback. I can't wait for this. Taeyang sounding like a god as usual. YG artists are top class man," and "Thank you Taehyun for creating such a masterpiece of a song! Can't wait for WINNER's album! And good job to the other artists doing justice to the song!" said the top-rated YouTube comments.
With still 10 days to go before WINNER's comeback launch date, fans are wondering who is next among the YG family to provide a pre-release cover for the boy group.
Who would you like to appear next in WINNER's pre-release cover series? Would you want to hear another song from their still-unreleased album, or would you rather have a third "Baby Baby" cover? Sound off in the comments section below!
